Better Bookshelves
by Bawnorton
With Better Bookshelves installed, a Chiseled Bookshelf shows its books differently and can count toward enchanting power at a table.
What it does
Better Bookshelves changes how Minecraft's Chiseled Bookshelf works and looks. Each book placed on the shelf is drawn according to its book type, so a shelf full of mixed books reads at a glance. Hovering over a book on the shelf displays its title and the relevant NBT data, and the label can be turned off, set to appear under the cursor, or shown with a text preview.
When the Enchanting Table Integration option is used, an enchanting table treats Chiseled Bookshelves as three additional valid bookshelves, provided the shelves face the table. The mod requires Fabric API and runs on the client and the server, so the server and every player need it. Optional support comes from Mod Menu for the settings screen and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) for configuration. Better Bookshelves is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, with files for 1.19.4 and 1.20, the latest being 1.0.0 for 1.20 from 2023-06-06.
