Better Pet Teleporting

Better Pet Teleporting changes how tamed pets move between their owner and the world, so they are not left behind after a portal trip or a server restart.
What it does
Pets that follow their owner through portals are often lost or stuck, because the vanilla logic teleports them at random and can cram them into the same space. This Forge mod replaces that logic with its own teleport handling, so a pet arrives beside its owner instead.
Pets follow their owner across dimensions and can teleport to the owner even when their chunk is unloaded. After a world or server restart, a pet that was stuck in an unloaded chunk is no longer left there until someone walks over to load it. The mod is server-side only: players join without installing it, and it works with mods that inherit the EntityTameable class.
Files target 1.12.2 only, and the latest Forge build is 1.3, published on 2025-09-28. The source code and issue tracker are public, and the project is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only.
