Quantum Things
by MagicJinn
Quantum Things is a Forge continuation of Random Things for Minecraft 1.12.2, a miscellaneous collection of utility items, blocks and gameplay additions.
What it does
Quantum Things gathers a broad collection of utility items, decorative blocks and convenience changes, among them automatic item gathering, faster crop growth via Fertilized Dirt, a private pocket dimension named Spectre Dimension, Spectre Coils that move energy without wires, and Divining Rods for finding ores. Redstone utilities are included as well.
Settings are reachable from an in-game configuration menu. Players and server owners can tune how often plant features and loot appear, along with the Nature Core settings for sand replacement, animal spawns, bonemeal results, tree generation and shell regrowth, plus the Lotus numbers. The Spectre Sapling and the Spectre Dimension can each be switched off.
The mod works with Thermal Expansion's Insolator for Spectre Saplings, and with Bonsai Trees, which accepts Fertilized Dirt as Bonsai Pot soil. Quantum Things runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge only, for Minecraft 1.12.2, and the latest is 1.3.0 from 2026-07-01. The code is open source under the MIT License.
