Better Lily Pads

by MehVahdJukaar

Better Lily Pads lets lily pads hold torches, candles and other blocks placed on top of them while the mod is installed.

FabricForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.18.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

Players can place torches, candles and other blocks on lily pads floating on water. When the block above a pad is removed, the pad returns to its vanilla state. The behavior only applies when the block below the pad is water. Fabric API and Moonlight Lib are required on both loaders, and the mod runs on client and server. Files are published for Fabric and Forge across 1.18.2 – 1.20.1, and the code is not open source, under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Blocks on lily pads

Torches, candles and other blocks can be set on a lily pad that sits on water.

  2. Vanilla reset

Removing the block above a lily pad turns it back into the unmodified vanilla pad.

  3. Water-only placement

The extra placement works only when the block below the pad is water, so ordinary land is unaffected.

Questions

Does Better Lily Pads need Moonlight Lib?

What the author says

This is a very simple mod that makes Lily Pads smarter, allowing any blocks to be placed on them. How does this work? Very simple, every time you click on a Lily Pad with an item that can be placed the Lily Pad will move to the water block below, turning into a waterlogged block.
