Better Fluid Placement changes how water and lava interact with the blocks around them when the player sneaks while placing a fluid.

What it does

Normally, placing water next to a waterlogable block waterlogs it. With this mod, sneaking while placing the fluid makes it go into the next block instead, whatever kind of block that is. The same sneak placement works on small plant-like blocks such as short grass, small flowers, ferns, pink petals and saplings, where the fluid replaces the plant immediately, as in older Minecraft versions, rather than sitting above it the way vanilla does.

The mod gives players more control over how fluids are placed with a bucket, and it does not change placement when the player is not sneaking. It runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything and only the server needs the jar. The mod is released under the Apache License 2.0 but is not open source. Files are published for Fabric and Legacy Fabric, with the latest Fabric build 1.0.0+mc26.2 for 26.3 and the latest Legacy Fabric build 1.0.0+mc1.13.2 for 1.13.2.
