Bedrock Skins
Bedrock Skins lets Java Edition load skin packs made for Bedrock Edition and Legacy Console Edition, with their models, animations and textures.
What it does
Players run the game once so a skin packs folder is created in the main game directory, then place Bedrock Edition skin pack folders inside it. Each pack folder must contain a skins.json file. Skins that use custom models also need a geometry.json file, which the mod reads as standard Bedrock JSON geometry for complex custom 3D shapes.
Skins from these packs are rendered natively, including unique skin animations and high-resolution textures bundled with the packs. A paper doll render of the selected skin appears on the Main Menu and Pause Screen, just above the change skin button. Players need the mod to see these skins, while a server can run without it.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 26.3 as the latest release. Fabric API is required, and Mod Menu is an optional companion.
