BBL Shops
by benbenlaw
Players who want a shop system without a separate economy mod can use BBL Shops, which adds a balance card, three coin types and a shop block for NeoForge.
What it does
BBL Shops is a digital balance shop system for buying and selling items. Coins collected in the world are added to the player's balance automatically and shown in the top right of the inventory, so no coins need to be carried. Three coin types, Copper, Iron and Gold, each carry their own value of 1 to 5, and the values can be changed in the config.
Trading happens at a shop block where players buy and sell. A catalog item in the bottom right shows the items available to buy. Pinatas can be created with a pinata flare, spawn from it, and drop their loot table when broken. The balance card is used to buy and sell items at any time of day. Client and server both need the mod, and it is released under the MIT License but is not open source.
Key features
Digital balance
Coins are converted into a balance that the player spends in shops, instead of being carried as items.
Three coin values
Copper, Iron and Gold coins are worth 1, 2 and 5 by default, and the values are set in the config.
Shop block
A dedicated shop block handles buying and selling, and a catalog lists the items bought there.
Pinata spawning
A pinata flare summons a pinata that drops its loot table when broken.

Use cases
Server economy
Server owners can give players a shared way to earn and spend coins in a multiplayer world.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners who want buying and selling built into the game through shop blocks and a balance, rather than through commands or a separate economy plugin.
How it compares
Simple Economy is server-side only and open source under the MIT License, so players join without installing it, and it targets 1.21.1. Quest Shop is client and server, open source under the MIT License, and also for 1.21.1, but it is built around quest rewards rather than a balance card. Tyco uses the same client and server environment and MIT License for 1.21.1 and offers a comparable shop setup.
