AxolotlClient Waypoints
With AxolotlClient Waypoints installed, a player can mark points on the map and keep them per dimension, while a minimap shows them as the character moves through the world.
What it does
Waypoints are stored for each world and dimension, so a point set in the Overworld does not appear in the Nether or the End. The minimap can be turned on or off, and its settings control whether cave areas and dimensions with roofs, such as the Nether, are drawn on the world map and minimap. The waypoint and minimap features are described as opinionated but close to vanilla, with the aim of staying out of the way of the normal game screens.
The mod loads on Fabric, Quilt and Ornithe. The client must run it, while a server may also run it so that its settings are sent to connected players. Settings are written to a config file that can be generated by the mod, edited by hand, and reloaded with the AxolotlClient Waypoints reload command, or changed in game with a second command; after either command the updated values are sent to connected players again. Required dependencies are Fabric API, Ornithe Standard Libraries and legacy-lwjgl3, and AxolotlClient - Customizable HUD & Client QoL Features is optional for HUD integration.
Key features
Per-dimension waypoints
Each waypoint is tied to the world and dimension where it was placed, so points stay with the place they belong to.
Minimap toggle
The minimap can be enabled or disabled, and its options control how caves and roofed dimensions are shown.
Server-side configuration
A server can generate a config file whose values are sent to connected clients, which lets server owners set the waypoint options.
Config reload command
Edited config values take effect after the AxolotlClient Waypoints reload command runs, and the updated values are sent to connected players.
Xaero's properties
When the server has Xaero's properties disabled, the mod can turn itself off and allow minimap use, as the author describes.
