AxisRuler is a client-side measuring tool that shows the exact X, Y and Z block dimensions of a build directly in the world.
What it does
Two points are set in the world: the block under the crosshair is marked with Alt + Z as Point A, and another block with Alt + X as Point B. The mod then displays the X, Y and Z size between the two points on a clean in-world HUD, so builders get measurements without counting blocks or placing temporary markers.
After Point A is set, a live preview shows the block under the crosshair before it is confirmed as Point B. Finished measurements can be pinned, so the boxes stay visible while the player works on something else. Keys can be rebound, and changes apply immediately without a restart.
AxisRuler is a client-side mod for Fabric and NeoForge, and it is open source under the MIT License. The mod requires Fabric API on Fabric and runs on 1.21.4, 1.21.8, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1 and 26.1.2, with the latest files for 26.1.2 released on 2026-06-22. Mod Menu is optional and adds a settings screen.

Aligning rooms and walls
Builders can read the exact span between two corners before placing the next section.
Planning symmetric structures
The X, Y and Z sizes help match the dimensions of repeated parts such as towers, bridges or floors.
Who it’s for: Builders in survival or creative worlds who want exact block dimensions while they build. Because the mod only changes the local client, it can be used on any server without the server installing it.
