AutoWaterDrop

by VoiddWR

AutoWaterDrop lets a player who falls automatically place water below and pick the bucket back up after landing, so fall damage is avoided without manual steps.

FabricNeoForgeClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

While the player falls, AutoWaterDrop places water on the block beneath the player. Smart aiming looks ahead along the movement and aims straight down, and if the first target misses, the mod tries up to eight adjacent blocks before giving up. Placement is verified: the mod checks that water appeared before the player moves on.

After landing, the water is collected back into a bucket and the bucket returns to its slot. When the mod's automatic mode is on, a water bucket is located in the inventory and swapped into the hotbar, so the drop works without the player arranging items first. A status HUD shows whether the mod is active and whether a bucket is available, and the G key toggles the display.

The mod is client-side only, so servers run without it and players install it alone. The latest builds, 1.1.0, target 26.1.2 and were released on 2026-08-22. The release line covers 1.21.1 – 26.1.2 across eight game versions. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Its issue tracker is public.

Key features

  1. Automatic water placement

Water is placed beneath the player during a fall, without the player having to aim or click.

  2. Bucket pickup after landing

Water is collected back into a bucket once the player lands, and the bucket returns to its inventory slot.

  3. Smart aiming

The target block is chosen by looking ahead along the movement, with a straight-down fallback.

  4. Multi-target fallback

If the first placement misses, up to eight adjacent blocks are tried before the attempt is abandoned.

  5. Status HUD

A HUD shows the mod status and bucket availability, and the G key toggles it on and off.
