Atlas' Additions

by FoxeLocklear

Atlas' Additions is a small addon for Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks that adds new staves, books and magic swords to the spell-casting system.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The addon fills some gaps in the arsenal of Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, the required dependency it extends. New spellbooks cover ice, electric, nature, lightning, blood, fire and ender magic, and a set of eldritch and holy staves adds further casting options. Several of the new items are weapons, including magic swords.

Atlas' Additions also brings a fire staff and a Pyrium staff, along with a new type of curio item. Some of the additions are described by their author as a bridge between the Graybeard Staff and the Artificer Cane, which places them alongside existing staff progression. The mod is primarily meant for the author's friends, and most items draw on media the author enjoys. Files target 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the mod is released under the MIT License, but it is not open source.

Both the server and every player need the mod, because the environment is client and server. Installing Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks is required before the addon can run.

Key features

  1. Ice and electric spellbooks

Spellbooks themed on ice and electricity extend the spell choices available to casters.

  2. Lightning and blood magic

New lightning and blood spellbooks add casting styles that the base spell set does not cover.

  3. Staves and magic swords

Eldritch, holy and nature staves join the fire and Pyrium staves, and magic swords add spell-based melee weapons.

  4. Ender and nature magic

Ender and nature spellbooks give players further options for building a spell loadout.
