Connected textures for blocks and glass panes come from Athena, a loader that handles the baked models behind them on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.

What it does

Athena draws block textures that join across neighboring blocks, such as glass panes and connected stone. Each block type gets its own baked model, which keeps rendering calculations low and lets the same method work on each loader. Custom checks can also be added, for example special vertical culling for glass panes.

Client-side only operation means a server does not need it. It requires Fabric API, which must be installed alongside Athena. Releases cover 1.19.4 – 26.1.2 across 15 release versions, and it is released under the MIT License as open source.
