What it does

Astralrail Cube adds spells, armor, tools and other items to a Minecraft world, along with a crafting system of its own. It needs Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and Kotlin for Forge to run. It is a Client and server mod, so both the server and every player must install it. Forge is the only loader it targets, and files exist for 1.20.1 only, with 2.4 as the latest file from 2026-08-05 on the beta channel.

The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source, with public links for its source code and issue tracker. It was first published on 2026-02-12 and last updated on 2026-08-05.

Key features

  1. Blocking mechanic

    A blocking action fully negates incoming damage while the player holds it, and the block can be broken by forced attacks.

  2. Void interactions

    Some entities resist the void, while others are pulled toward it, which changes how fights near void areas play out.

  3. Set armor and tools

    Armor sets, tools and other items are added, along with a new crafting system for making them.
