AstralBot
by Erdragh
AstralBot links a Discord server to a Minecraft server, relaying chat in both directions and answering commands posted in Discord.
What it does
The bot is written in Kotlin and reads its settings and FAQ entries from a database. A SQLite database is used by default, and JetBrains Exposed handles communication with it. FAQ entries are managed through a command interface, and they can be written as Markdown files that are loaded without restarting the server.
Chat synchronization can be set up with a webhook. When a webhook is configured for a channel, messages from players appear under their own names and avatars, because the bot imitates the user through the webhook. Without a webhook, the bot posts messages under its own account. The webhook.url option is set in the config, and the server account needs permission to manage webhooks so the bot can create one automatically.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across six game versions, 1.18.2 – 1.21.1. It runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin, Forge Config API Port and Kotlin for Forge are required, depending on the loader; a few of them are named directly in the mod's requirements. The code is open source under the MIT License.

FAQ commands
FAQ entries can be added and edited with commands, or loaded from Markdown files without a server restart.

What the author says
This is a Minecraft mod and Discord Bot in one package. It's intended for the Create: Astral Modpack's official server, but it's implemented cross-platform to be usable by others too. The goal is to be easy-to-use and accessible for non-technical server admins, while allowing true complexity for power users. This mod…
