Asterism Arcanum is a NeoForge addon for Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks that adds an Astral School of magic, a structure and new mobs for 1.21.1.
What it does
The addon introduces the Astral School, a spell school built around staying out of reach. Its spells let a caster evade damage and keep distance from enemies, and the school is meant to be simple enough to learn quickly. Its spell set includes Astral Echo, Teleport Spell, Celestial Tether, Summon Lunar Moth, Luminous Beam and several ball-of-light spells.
The addon also adds an Astral Observatory structure, which generates on mountains and is home to an Astromancer mage NPC. The observatory is partly abandoned, and hostile mobs have nested inside it, so they attack anyone who enters. New hostile Dragonflies drop wings, which are used to craft Astral spells and two new block sets, Lumine and Umbral. The addon needs Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, Ace's Spell Utils, AzureLib and Expandability to run.
The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.1, with 1.21.1-0.1.0 as the latest file from 2026-06-20. The author describes the project as still being worked on and notes that future updates may cause discontinuity.

Teleport Spell reverses a ball of light and counterspells time, while Celestial Tether fixes a caster in position, even mid-air, and cancels incoming damage until the spell ends.
Projectile and beam spells
Projectile barrages fire toward the caster's aim, Luminous Beam fires a long thin beam that damages enemies it hits, and Astral Echo pushes nearby mobs away.
Lunar Moth summon
Summon Lunar Moth calls a large Lunar Moth the caster can ride, which attempts to protect them.
Astral Observatory
A mountain structure with an Astromancer mage NPC, a partly abandoned site where hostile mobs have nested.
