AppleTrees brings custom apple trees into the game, where fruit grows in stages on the leaves and players harvest it at the right moment.
What it does
Apple trees in AppleTrees grow fruit over time through four visible stages, from 0 to 4, so a player can see when the fruit is ready to pick. Mature leaves are harvested to collect apples, and the drop depends on how far the fruit has grown and how it was picked. Bone meal speeds the process, and in-game tooltips show the current growth stage.
The mod covers several kinds of apple. Golden Apple, Enchanted Golden Apple and Amethyst Apple are rarer drops, while the Netherite Apple is an ultra-rare drop with strong effects that cannot be crafted and comes only from the trees. Blaze Powder Infusion lets a player use vanilla Blaze Powder to boost a connected tree or leaf cluster, giving one boosted harvest per infused fruiting leaf over a long timer. An orchard helper collects mature fruit from nearby trees and can deposit drops into item frames placed on chests or barrels, sorted by matching apple item.
AppleTrees is for Fabric and Forge, across the 1.20.1 and 1.21.11 game versions, with the latest Fabric file at 1.2.0 for 1.21.11 and the latest Forge file at 1.2.1 for 1.21.11. It is a Client and server mod, so the server and every player need it. The code is All rights reserved and is not open source. The author publishes an issue tracker for reports.

Expensive Apples is not open source, is published for Fabric and Forge across 1.19.2 – 1.20.6, and also runs as a Client and server mod. Crops XP is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and is Fabric only for 1.20.1 – 1.21.10; players need nothing on their side, since the server alone runs it while clients may leave it out.
