Ambient Leaves
by RGStudios
Ambient Leaves gives Minecraft's trees and biomes a layer of falling leaves that drift, wobble and rotate instead of dropping straight down.
What it does
The mod is a client-side decoration for forests, caves and other natural areas. Leaves leave the trees and move through the air with wind-like sideways drift, gentle wobbling and curved paths, and each leaf gets its own speed, lifetime and rotation. Gameplay is not changed, so the mod only alters what a player sees.
Leaf support covers the Pale Garden and Pale Oak leaves from Minecraft 1.21.4 onward. Ambient Leaves is built for Fabric and NeoForge, with files published for the current release line. Cloth Config API and Fabric API are required, and Mod Menu is optional for in-game configuration. The code is not open source; the mod is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Varied falling leaves
More than sixteen leaf types fall with randomized movement, so no two leaves follow the same path.
Dynamic motion
Leaves move horizontally, wobble and turn as they fall, which replaces the plain straight-down particles of vanilla.
Rare autumn leaves
Autumn-colored leaves appear occasionally among the normal ones, kept uncommon so they read as natural variation.
Adjustable look
Settings let each player match the leaf density and style to their taste and hardware, and Mod Menu opens them in game.

Use cases
Exploring forests and caves
Players walking through wooded or underground areas get more visible life in the scenery.
Screenshots and recordings
Drifting leaves add subtle motion to builds and cinematic footage without changing the world.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric or NeoForge who want more atmosphere in Minecraft without any change to gameplay. Because it is client-side only, server owners do not need to install it.
