More Leaf Particles
by Fellter_CZ
With More Leaf Particles installed, the leaves a player walks past release particles that match the species of the tree they come from.
What it does
The mod changes the texture that leaf particles use, so the particles drawn from a leaf match its tree. Oak, birch, spruce, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, azalea and flowering azalea each release their own look, and some drop slightly larger leaves or small azalea petals. Spruce releases needle-like pieces.
More Leaf Particles needs Fabric API on Fabric. It is a client-side only mod: the server does not need it, and players run it alone. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.21.5 – 26.2 under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, which is not open source. The source code and issue tracker are public.
Particle Rain, Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) are optional, so the mod works without them. Mod Menu gives access to the settings screen, and YACL provides the configuration interface when it is installed.
Key features
Species-specific leaf particles
Particles released by a leaf take on the color and shape of the tree it came from.
Spruce needle particles
Spruce leaves release needle-like particles instead of the broader leaf shape.
Azalea petals
Azalea and flowering azalea leaves release small petal particles in addition to leaf fragments.
Larger leaf pieces
Some species release slightly bigger particle pieces, which keeps them visible from a distance.
