Alchemika
by Hashs
Alchemika is an experimental magic datapack centered on alchemy, built around the cauldron and a set of new laboratory content for Minecraft 1.21.8 – 1.21.11.
What it does
Alchemika adds a cauldron-based alchemy system where players can manipulate 49 different substances by stirring, heating, chilling, scooping and casting, and each action can produce different results. Acids can be used to process raw metals with greater efficiency, and players can experiment to find working methods and formulas.
The datapack also brings 16 new food items made in the cauldron, new materials for crafting gear such as the Chemical Thrower, and two new structures. Guidance is given in-game through notes and advancements, which record the work of an alchemist who came before. Alchemika is inspired by classical alchemy and by chemistry-themed mods like Thaumcraft and Undermagic, and it uses the Smithed Crafter library.
The server requires the datapack, so server owners install it on the server, while players may run the client without it. Alchemika is a datapack rather than a loader mod, so it is published for Data pack as well as Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with the latest builds targeting 1.21.11. The mod is licensed under the MIT License and is not open source.
