[Deprecated] Curios Compat Layer for Accessories

by Blodhgarm

Deprecated since 1.21.1, Curios Compat Layer for Accessories lets mods that use the Curios API work within the Accessories ecosystem on Forge and NeoForge.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The layer acts as a compatibility wrapper for the Curios API. Mods written against that API keep working inside the Accessories system, so players do not need a separate Curios install. Existing Curios data is moved into the accessory slots, and items that cannot be moved are returned to the player's inventory. Accessories is required, and the layer is bundled with the Curios API. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.

Key features

  1. Curios API wrapper

Mods that call the Curios API are routed through the Accessories system without changes to their code.

  2. Data transfer

Existing Curios data is moved into the accessory slots when the layer is present.

  3. Ejection on error

If a problem occurs, items are returned to the player's inventory instead of being lost.

What the author says

For versions 1.21.1 and up, this is being replaced with the new Accessories Compat Layer, with exactly the same function besides needing to install Curios alongside the new mod! Such mod acts as a compatibility layer for mods using the Curios API to work within the Accessories Ecosystem.
