Yori3o's Explosives
by Yori3o
Yori3o's Explosives adds throwable explosives to Minecraft, including grenades, bombs, dynamite and a sticky variant, for Fabric and NeoForge.
What it does
The mod adds Terraria-inspired explosives that work as weapons and as mining tools. Grenades, bombs and dynamite differ in blast radius and detonation time, and a sticky variant attaches to surfaces instead of bouncing off them. Explosives can also be found in some underground structures, and a lit fuse makes a sound and fades before the explosion.
Yori3o's Explosives requires Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). Explosion radius, damage, knockback, detonation time and block breaking can be adjusted through the config. Grenades break blocks and only deal damage to entities, so they are not a substitute for a bomb's block-breaking. Installation covers the server and each player's game. It is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric and NeoForge across 6 release versions, 1.21.1 – 26.2.
Key features
Throwable explosives
Grenades, bombs and dynamite can be thrown, and each one behaves differently when it detonates.
Sticky variant
A sticky version attaches to surfaces it hits instead of bouncing off, so it stays where it lands.
Adjustable explosions
Radius, damage, knockback, detonation time and block breaking can all be changed in the config.
Found in structures
Explosives sometimes generate in underground structures, so players can find them while exploring.

Use cases
Mining
Bombs and dynamite break blocks quickly, which speeds up clearing stone and ore inside a cave system.
Combat
Grenades and sticky explosives give players a ranged option that deals area damage in fights.
Who it’s for: Players who want explosives as a weapon or mining tool in survival or adventure worlds, and server owners who want them on a multiplayer server.
How it compares
Just Grenades is a Fabric-only mod for 1.21.5 – 26.3, open source under the MIT License, with the same client and server environment. Joe's Explosives is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.8 – 26.1.2 that runs on client and server, under the MIT License but not open source. Explosive Enhancement (NeoForge) is client-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 1.21.1 – 26.2, so it needs no server install.
