XP Alchemy adds seven potions to Minecraft's brewing system, several of which boost or trade experience points for a set time.

What it does

The mod adds experience-focused potion effects to the brewing system. Its XP Boost Potions come in four tiers: tier 1 doubles experience for 5 minutes, tier 2 doubles it for 10 minutes, tier 3 triples it for 15 minutes, and tier 4 quadruples it for 15 minutes. Tier 1 is brewed from a thick potion and glow berries, and the higher tiers build on the earlier ones, using ghast tears as an ingredient.

Experience Debt Potions form the other half of the set, adding a penalty effect that the mod describes as a counterpart to the boosts. The mod is meant to be used alongside other mods, such as hammer mods and Mending, where extra experience has more to affect. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Fabric and Forge for 1.20 – 1.20.6, and the code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, which makes it open source.
