Xp Bottles
by ProdigeGasy
XP Bottles lets players store experience points in reusable containers, then hand them to friends or retrieve them later with a right-click.
What it does
Experience is stored by using a command or a datapack trigger. The amount of XP sets which container is used: a Glass Bottle holds up to 40 XP, two Glass Bottles cover amounts between 40 and 100 XP, and three or more bottles handle anything above 100 XP. Stored XP is kept in a XP Capsule, XP Vial or XP Canister, and an empty Glass Bottles inventory is needed when storing.
Because the stored XP lives in an item, it is not lost on death and can be given to another player by handing over the container. Retrieving XP is a single right-click with the XP item in hand, and the Glass Bottles used for storage are returned. Containers are meant for players who save XP for later or stock up for friends. The XP Bottles Datapack adds the same storage through datapack functions for servers that run without the mod.
The mod is server required and client optional. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Files exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21 and 1.21.1, and the latest file for each loader is for 1.21.1, dated 2024-10-22.
Key features
Reusable XP containers
Experience is stored in capsules, vials and canisters that can be used again instead of being spent.
Protection from XP loss
Experience kept in a container is safe when the player dies, so it stays available afterwards.
Sharing with other players
A player can give stored XP to another player by handing over the container item.
Simple retrieval
Holding an XP item and right-clicking returns the stored experience, with no commands to type.
