WorldEdit CUI
by EngineHub
WorldEdit CUI displays WorldEdit selections on the client, so players can see the region they are about to change before a command runs.
What it does
WorldEdit CUI is a graphical user interface for WorldEdit. Its job is to show selections in the game view and to help players use WorldEdit while guarding against accidental edits. It does not change the world by itself: the changes are made by WorldEdit, which must be installed on the server. WorldEdit CUI is a frontend that sits on top of it.
The mod is client-side only, so only the player needs to install it, and the server does not run it. Selections appear without any configuration, and colours can be adjusted when Mod Menu is installed. The mod is published for Fabric and Quilt across 34 release versions, 1.14.4 – 26.3, and its code is open source under the Eclipse Public License 2.0. Optional dependencies include Mod Menu, Sodium, Iris Shaders, Canvas Renderer, ViaFabricPlus and WorldEdit, and WeCuiFix is one of the mods that require it.
Key features
Selection display
WorldEdit selections are drawn in the game view without extra setup, so the region is visible before an operation runs.
Configurable colours
The colours used for selections can be changed when Mod Menu is installed.
Accident prevention
The interface is built to help players use WorldEdit and reduce mistakes from unintended edits.
Frontend for WorldEdit
The mod displays and assists, while the operations themselves run through the WorldEdit plugin on the server.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who use WorldEdit on a Fabric or Quilt server or in single-player worlds, and server owners who want their players to see selections clearly. Because the mod is client-side only, it can be added by each player without changes to the server beyond WorldEdit itself.
How it compares
Client-Side WorldEdit is also client-side only, open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, and published for Fabric on 1.21.11. Schematic Placer is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and published for Fabric on 1.21.7 – 26.2, so its players need nothing installed. Technical Utilities is client-side only, open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, and covers Fabric and Quilt on 1.19.2 – 26.3, a range closer to WorldEdit CUI's own.
