Wool & Concrete Backport (Polymer)
by CraftyCorvid
Wool & Concrete Backport brings the wool, concrete, stairs and slab blocks added in Minecraft 26.3 to a Fabric 26.2 server.
What it does
The server installs the Wool & Concrete Backport jar in its mods folder, next to Fabric API and Polymer. On start it adds stairs and slabs for wool and concrete in all 16 colors, 64 blocks in total, using the 26.3 block set as the model. Polymer builds a resource pack from these blocks, and the server marks that pack as required so connecting players receive it automatically.
Only the server needs the mod, since Polymer sends the textures to players. Existing builds that use native blocks keep their identifiers and world data, and the new blocks load natively in place of the former ones. The mod refuses to load on 26.3, where the same blocks are part of the game, so it is removed from the folder at that point. Files exist for Fabric 26.2 only, and the mod is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Wool and concrete stairs and slabs
Stairs and slabs for wool and concrete in 16 colors, 64 blocks in total, matching the 26.3 block set.
Resource pack from Polymer
Polymer generates a resource pack the server sends to players, so clients need no extra mod.
Native conversion
Blocks keep their names, drops, recipes and world data, so existing builds load without migration.
Drops and tools
Breaking the new blocks follows the vanilla rules, with shears and pickaxe mining working as they do for the native blocks.

Use cases
Pre-26.3 servers
A server on 26.2 that wants the wool and concrete stairs and slabs from 26.3 before the update can add them with this mod.
Light vanilla-client servers
Server owners who run only light mods and want the players to stay on an unmodified client can use it, since players need nothing installed.
Who it’s for: Server owners on Fabric 26.2 who want wool and concrete stairs and slabs for building. Players join without installing anything.
How it compares
Concrete Stairs And Slabs Early is for Fabric 26.1.2 and is not open source, under All rights reserved, and it is client and server. (G.U.C.S.) is also client and server, MIT License, and covers 1.21.4 – 26.2, the closest version range to this mod. Wool & Concrete Backport needs only the server side.

What the author says
Server-side backport of Minecraft 26.3's wool stairs and slabs and concrete stairs and slabs (all 16 colors each, 64 blocks) to 26.2, built with Polymer + Fabric.
