Whip adds a physics-driven whip to Forge 1.20.1, a weapon that curls and bends around the player's surroundings while it swings.
What it does
The whip is a Transportation mod that also falls under Equipment and Game mechanics. It uses smooth Verlet integration, so the lash moves as a simulated 3D object: a left-click sweeps it in a fast horizontal slash, and holding right-click charges an overhead crack that deals heavy damage. A Reach enchantment lengthens the physical whip itself instead of raising a hidden stat, and at Level 3 the whip visibly grows longer and deadlier.
A Grappling Hook enchantment lets a player grab the whip and swing across the world, and the mod works alongside grappling tools such as Yori3o's Grappling Hooks, Hook and ReinsMod, each with its own function. Whip is open source under the MIT License and is published for Forge only, with one build, 1.1.0 for 1.20.1, dated 2026-06-29. Installation covers the server and each player's game.
