Wavelength
by Lumina Labs
Wavelength replaces the usual overhead name tag with a configurable nameplate that also shows a player's town rank, live activity icon, privacy marker and achievement badges.
What it does
Wavelength adds a social layer to multiplayer. Each player gets a nameplate above the head that can display a town rank, a live activity icon such as mining, building, fighting or farming, a privacy icon for public, friends-only or ghost status, and an achievement badge. When a player gains a level, a short animation runs on their nameplate. Players can also see their own nameplate in third person, and the mod can fall back to vanilla nameplates when turned off.
Beyond the nameplate, the mod includes a window opened with the H key, which can be resized, maximized and split into several sections. Server owners can run live events that open and close on a schedule, including Nether and End events. Installation requires Fabric API. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files target Fabric and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.21.1 – 26.3 and the latest file for 26.3 published on the beta channel. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
Key features
Customizable nameplates
Players pick the look of their nameplate from 20 designs covering border shape, colour and theme.
Earned nameplate designs
Nameplate designs are earned by collecting badges and must be applied by the player; they are never applied automatically.
Projects and events
Players can start projects, invite collaborators and track progress, while server owners run scheduled live events.
Stats and leaderboards
A tab in the window shows player stats and leaderboards, and a timeline records nameplate changes.
