Voidless Armory
Voidless Armory adds 2D classic-style guns to Forge 1.20.1, with pistols, rifles and ammunition that players reload with the R key.
What it does
Voidless Armory brings firearms in a classic 2D style into Forge 1.20.1 games. Each gun takes the matching ammunition, and pressing R reloads it. Pistols use pistol ammo, while mid-range infantry weapons use their own type. The mod requires Voidless Framework, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it.
A central feature is the Dummy Gun System, which lets guns work against mobs. Guns convert automatically for NPCs, and a player can switch between a dummy gun and a normal one through a GUI. The author notes that the mod is meant for role-playing, since regular guns cannot be used in the way the mod expects. Other mods such as MineColonies are said to have NPCs and enemies that use these weapons too.
The mod is still in beta, and the author expects bugs. Planned updates include more guns, player animations and tier 3 weapons, and the author asks for feedback and bug reports. Voidless Armory is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.
