Victus lets players craft Heart Aspects that replace the standard health bar with custom hearts, each carrying a different effect.
What it does
Victus changes how hearts work in survival play. Players craft Heart Aspects and apply them to the health bar, and each aspect adds a specific effect. The Archery Aspect sets enemies on fire with arrows, the Draconic Aspect summons Dragon's Breath, the Evoking Aspect spawns Vexes, and the Totem Aspect works like Totem Undying. Each heart lasts one heart time before it breaks, so the choice of aspect has to be renewed as the health bar changes.
The mod is built for players who like to experiment with their health bar and tune a build around a chosen playstyle. Victus Journal, an in-game guide, explains the mechanics of each aspect in detail. Victus requires Cardinal Components API, Lavender and oωo (owo-lib), and Patchouli is needed for the journal and its documentation. The mod is published for Fabric and Quilt across 19 release versions, 1.16.2 – 1.20.4, and it runs on client and server, so both sides need it. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source.
