Vampiric Origin

by kittech

Vampiric Origin adds a vampire origin to the Origins framework, giving players blood-based abilities such as a blood source, a bloody bomb and blood spit.

FabricQuiltClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.18.2 – 1.19.2

What it does

The mod is an origin for Fabric and Quilt that builds on Origins, so a player picks it like any other origin and gains its powers. Its theme is a demonic creature who has become a blood soul vampire seeking revenge, and its abilities follow from that. A blood source, a bloody bomb and blood spit are among the powers, and bloody veins and light air add further effects to the character.

Installation needs Fabric API, IvyCore, Origins and Pehkui alongside the mod, on either loader. Vampiric Origin runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.18.2, 1.19, 1.19.1 and 1.19.2, and the code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, which makes it open source.

Key features

  1. Blood source

A blood source gives the vampire a way to obtain blood as a resource for its other abilities.

  2. Bloody bomb

The bloody bomb is an offensive power that lets the character strike at nearby targets.

  3. Blood spit

Blood spit is a ranged attack that the vampire can use against enemies.

  4. Bloody veins and light air

Bloody veins and light air are visual and movement effects that mark the character as a vampire.

Use cases

Playing as a vampire origin

Players who choose a new origin at the start of a world can pick Vampiric Origin and play through its blood-based powers.

Pairing with addon origins

Players who run other origin addons can combine them with this origin, since the author notes it works alongside Bloody addon origins.

Who it’s for: Players who run Origins with Fabric or Quilt and want a vampire-themed origin, and server owners who want an origin option for their players.
