Utility Golems
by ryankshah
Buildable golems that handle farming, woodcutting and resource transport are the core of Utility Golems, a Forge and NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 – 1.20.6.
What it does
Utility Golems adds golems that players construct in the world from familiar materials, then set to tasks such as planting, harvesting, felling trees and moving items. Each golem works through simple, vanilla-style behavior rather than multiblock machines. Golems can use nearby containers for storage and resources, and some draw on cables and power systems through their own GUIs.
The mod is built to fit survival gameplay, so golems spawn naturally and can be added to an existing farm without replacing the way crops are grown. Geckolib is required and must be installed alongside the mod. Files are released for Forge and NeoForge across 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4, 1.20.5 and 1.20.6, and the mod runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Hay Golem for crops
Hay Golem seeds crops on open farmland, applies bonemeal to quicken their growth, and draws seeds and bonemeal out of containers within reach.
Mud Golem for harvesting
The Mud Golem harvests mature crops and stores the results, completing the farming cycle.
Timber Golem for wood
The Timber Golem fells trees and moves the wood into storage, and a Charcoal Golem form appears when a Timber Golem catches fire, handling logging and saplings.
Naturally spawning golems
Buildable golems spawn naturally in the world, so players can find them as well as construct them.

Iron Seepage is the only option that runs server-side only, released under the Apache License 2.0 for Forge on 1.20.1, so players join without installing anything.
