What it does

Vanilla leaves certain ores without experience, and this Fabric mod adds experience drops to them. The set of ores that drop experience is configurable, so server owners can choose which blocks count. The behavior is built for data pack and modpack authors, who can add other blocks to the list without changing the mod's code.

The mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. It targets Minecraft 1.20.1 only, with a single Fabric file, 1.0-1.20.1, published on 2025-04-25. The code is open source under the MIT License, and its source is available on the project's public repository.

Key features

  1. Experience from ore blocks

Ores that vanilla leaves silent now drop experience points when broken, adding a small reward to mining runs.

  2. Deepslate and ancient debris

Deepslate copper, iron and gold ores, along with ancient debris, are among the blocks that can drop experience.

  3. Configurable block list

The list of blocks that drop experience is set in the config, so server owners decide which ores are included.

  4. Data pack support

Data packs and modpacks can add more blocks to the experience list, extending the drops beyond the default ores.
