Trovogration

by ZigTheHedge

Trovogration links a Trovo chat audience to a Minecraft session, so viewers can spend points on in-game actions that affect the streamer's run.

ForgeClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.19.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

Viewers spend points on actions in a 7 days die style game. An action's cost is taken from the viewer's points balance, with the points of one type deducted first, and an action cannot trigger when the viewer does not have enough. Each successful activation sends the action into a cooldown before it can be bought again, and a configurable 20% of each price goes into a Heat pool held in the Bank. When the Heat pool fills, the action cooldown phase starts, and a separate cooldown begins whenever the player dies, since a kill right after respawn could feel unfair. A short cooldown also applies right after the player connects to Trovo and the game.

Negative actions can be set to stay allowed during the cooldown phase, which is a configurable option. Streamers can also run the command tg safe to place a protected area: a sphere of configurable size, 32 blocks in radius by default, centered on the block where the command is issued. The cooldown for creating it lasts 300 seconds by default, and the command is only available while the relevant cooldowns are active. Once it is set, the player must leave the sphere and wait until the cooldown passes, and must die. Creation is cancelled if either event happens first. If viewers manage to kill the streamer, the Bank's SP balance is zeroed.

Key features

  1. Points-based actions

Viewers pay from their Trovo points balance to trigger in-game actions, with the cost deducted before the action runs.

  2. Heat pool and Bank

A configurable share of each price is added to a Heat pool in the Bank, and a full pool starts the action cooldown phase.

  3. Death and connection cooldowns

Cooldowns start when the player dies and right after connecting to Trovo and the game, so actions cannot be spammed.

  4. Safe Zone command

The tg safe command creates a protected sphere the streamer can use as a safe area, with a 300-second default cooldown.

  5. Negative actions during cooldown

A configuration option decides whether negative actions stay allowed while the cooldown phase is running.

What the author says

Trovogration is a client-only minecraft mod which offers more interaction between Trovo Streamer (and/or Twitch Streamer since 2.1.2) and viewers in a form of in-game actions triggered by sending certain chat commands. Don't forget to give an "/op" permission to your player if you're playing on a server, or allow…
