Trampleless
Trampleless stops farmland from being trampled by entities, and a server owner can narrow the effect with a gamerule.
What it does
Trampleless changes the rule that turns farmland into dirt when something steps on it. Feather Falling on boots is the usual protection against trampling, and the mod leaves that behaviour in place for players. Farmland can also be left untouched entirely, or limited so that only players avoid trampling it while other entities still do.
The gamerule named trampleless:farmland trampling is set with the gamerule command and controls the setting. Server owners use it to choose between full protection, protection for players only, and the normal behaviour. Because the effect is applied on the server, players join without installing anything.
Trampleless is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later. It requires Fabric API and is published for Fabric only, across 16 release versions 1.21 – 26.2, with the latest file built for 26.2.
Key features
Protected farmland
Farmland stays intact when an entity steps on it, so crops are not lost to trampling.
Player-only protection
The gamerule can limit the protection to players, leaving non-player entities able to trample farmland.
Gamerule control
Trampling is switched with the trampleless:farmland trampling gamerule, set through the gamerule command.
Feather Falling compatibility
Boots enchanted with Feather Falling keep their usual role against trampling, and the mod adds the option to turn it off.
