TrafficCraft: Traffic light countdown
TrafficCraft: Traffic light countdown shows a seven-segment countdown on traffic lights added by the TrafficCraft mod, so drivers see how long each phase has left.
What it does
The addon renders a digital countdown directly on each traffic light. On three-section lights the readout sits on the yellow segment, on two-section lights it sits on the unlit pedestrian segment, and single-section lights display it as well. The digits take the color of the active signal, red, green or amber, and are hidden during the yellow transition, since those phases are too short to read.
The addon reads the schedule of each light it observes, including lights controlled remotely, and learns phase timing by watching one to two full cycles. It supports the Traffic Light Controllers addon without extra setup. It works out of the box with an existing TrafficCraft setup, so no configuration is needed. It is a client-side addon: servers run without it, and players join a vanilla multiplayer server with nothing extra on the server side. It requires TrafficCraft, which in turn needs Architectury API and DragonLib, and Fabric API on Fabric.
The mod is released under the MIT License and its source code and issue tracker are public. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 and the latest files dated to August 2026.
Key features
Seven-segment countdown
Each traffic light displays the seconds left until the next phase change, drawn as digits on the light itself.
Color-coded digits
The digits match the active signal's color and disappear during the yellow transition.
Automatic phase learning
Timing is learned by watching the light through one to two full cycles, including lights controlled remotely.
Pedestrian signal support
On two-section lights the timer appears on the unlit segment, so it does not blend with the active light.

What the author says
A client-side Fabric addon for TrafficCraft by MrJulsen. Adds a countdown timer overlay on traffic lights — just like real-world traffic signals with countdown displays. The digits are color-coded to match the currently active signal (red or green), and are hidden entirely during yellow transition phases, since…
