With TouchController, Java Edition gains a touch control layer modeled on the Bedrock Edition controls, using a layout the player can customize.

What it does

The mod adds a touch controller to Java Edition with an editable layout. Because GLFW, the windowing library Minecraft relies on, does not read touch input, TouchController obtains touch events from the operating system directly. Support depends on the launcher and platform in use, and the author recommends a dedicated input library on some systems where it can be used.

Installation requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin on Fabric, and Kotlin for Forge on Forge. Mod Menu is optional. The mod is client-side only, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. It is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 20 release versions, 1.12.2 – 26.3, with snapshot builds included.
