Too Many Trials
by EMD123
Too Many Trials, a datapack-based world generation mod by EMD123, adds new trial structures, enchantments and spawner variants to the Trial Chamber content.
What it does
The mod extends the Trial Chamber with new structures, enchantments and loot. A single trial spawner can be found in caves, and it is designed as a replayable version of a simple monster spawner dungeon. Defeating the mobs that appear rewards the player with loot from one or two dungeon chests. The spawner resets 30 minutes after it is completed, so a player can return and run it again. An ominous mode, triggered by a Bad Omen, makes the trial harder and the reward better. Trial Towers are a separate structure: a tall trial with an indoor lower section and an outdoor bridge above, holding more spawners and vaults.
Installation runs on the server and needs Re vault as an optional dependency. It is required on the server and optional for players. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering game versions 1.21 – 26.2, and the mod is released under the Apache License 2.0, which means it is not open source. The latest file is 1.0.0+mod for 26.2, dated 2026-08-10.
Key features
Trial Tower structure
Trial Towers, a separate structure, stands taller than a Trial Chamber, joining an indoor area to an outdoor bridge and containing extra spawners and vaults.
Trial Recall enchantment
Hitting a spawner with an enchanted tool sends the latest spawned mob back into the trial spawner, at a small durability cost.
Wind Shot enchantment
Ranged weapons fire a wind burst that launches entities into the air, which can be used to reach ledges or move off cliffs.
Ominous Assistance enchantment
Enchanted armor sometimes spawns helpful effects such as regeneration or strength for its wearer, while harmful effects are aimed at attackers.
Replayable trial spawners
Trial spawners reset 30 minutes after completion, so a trial can be run again later in the same world.
