TimeOutOut
With TimeOutOut installed, server owners can raise the connection read timeout, the login timeout and the KeepAlive timeout that Minecraft otherwise hardcodes.
What it does
In vanilla Minecraft the connection timeouts are fixed in code, and they are often too short for slower computers or heavily modded instances. TimeOutOut makes several of them configurable. The connection read timeout defaults to 120 seconds instead of the vanilla 30, the login timeout defaults to 2400 ticks (120 seconds) instead of 600 ticks (30 seconds), and the KeepAlive interval can also be adjusted.
The mod is a standalone copy of the connection timeout configuration from Random Patches, published separately because that project has not been updated to 1.18. The Random Patches author recommends leaving the KeepAlive interval at the vanilla value of 15 seconds. Features without a stated side are server-sided, so the mod is server-side only: players join without installing anything. It is released under the MIT License as open source.
Key features
Connection read timeout
Sets how long a connection may stay silent before it is dropped, with a default of 120 seconds.
Login timeout
Sets the window the server allows for a player to complete logging in, with a default of 2400 ticks.
KeepAlive interval
Changes how often KeepAlive packets are sent to clients, which is left at 15 seconds by the original author.
Server-side configuration
The timeout values are set on the server, and the connection read timeout is the one feature that also applies to clients.

Use cases
Slow or heavily modded instances
Servers hosting large modpacks on modest hardware can give players more time before a connection is dropped.
Slow connections
Players on high-latency networks can stay connected through short stalls that would otherwise trigger the default timeout.
Who it’s for: Server owners running modded or heavily loaded servers, and players who experience frequent disconnects during login or long pauses.
How it compares
Raised Clouds is a client-side only Fabric mod for 1.16.2 – 1.21.4 under the MIT License, so it changes the client rather than the server. TimeOutFix is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and published only for 1.21.7 on Fabric, so it covers a single version where TimeOutOut covers 1.17.1 – 1.21.10.
