Hey That's Mine

by Potatoboy9999

Hey That's Mine is a Fabric and Quilt server-side utility that lets players claim containers so that only trusted people can open them.

FabricQuiltServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.16.4 – 26.3

What it does

Players claim a container with commands, and the claim then limits who can open, break or otherwise access it. A new container placed by a player is set to private by default, so chests and similar storage are protected without extra steps. Trusted users can be added to a claim, and access can be granted or removed as needed.

The mod runs on the server only, so players join without installing anything. It needs Fabric API as a required dependency, and it can read permissions through a permissions API, which lets server owners manage access through permission nodes. Setup needs more than placing the file in the mods folder; the permission nodes are listed in their own section of the documentation. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt across 31 release versions, 1.16.4 – 26.3, under the MIT License, and the project is open source.

Several commands work on containers, and a toggle mode lets a player keep running a chosen claim action in a loop, with no need to retype it. Admin-level permission nodes grant unrestricted access to claimed containers and other managerial rights, while the remaining nodes are enabled for users by default.

Key features

  1. Container claiming

Players claim chests and other containers so that only the owner and trusted users can open them.

  2. Automatic private setting

Newly placed containers are set to private automatically, so storage is protected from the start.

  3. Permission nodes

Access is controlled through permission nodes, and a permissions plugin can manage them on the server.

  4. Toggle mode

A toggle lets a player repeat the same claim action continuously instead of typing the command each time.

  5. Managerial access

Admin permissions allow unrestricted access to any claimed container and other managerial actions.
