The Guest adds a horror entity to Minecraft that spawns at night and tries to hear nearby players, reacting to the sounds they make.
What it does
The Guest is a new functional entity in a light horror mod inspired by the GUEST HELLO GUEST and HELLO NEIGHBOR 2 games. It spawns during the night and listens for sounds made by players nearby, and its hearing system is marked as experimental, so its reactions may not always work as intended. Light jumpscares, extra scares, secrets and interactive items and blocks add to the eerie mood of the world.
The mod is in an early version, and many of its features are still in development. The author states that updates will come often as the mod grows. Because of this, behavior and content may change between releases. Installation requires Forge or NeoForge, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. The mod is published for 1.20.1 only, with the latest Forge and NeoForge files both dated 2025-11-18. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.
