Jurassic Returned brings dinosaurs back to Minecraft, with a fossil DNA system for breeding and a park-building toolset for creature displays.
What it does
Players extract ancient DNA from fossils and use it in a breeding process to create dinosaurs, then study and house them in a prehistoric park they build themselves. Dinosaurs follow a dynamic AI, so their behavior shifts with the setting around them. The mod includes Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor, among other creatures, and presents a wide variety of species for park displays.
Files are published for Forge only, for 1.20.1, with 0.9.10 as the latest beta build from 2026-06-27. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Jurassic Returned is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. Snapshot builds are not published.
