Thaumic Additions: Reconstructed

by Zeith

With Thaumic Additions: Reconstructed installed, Thaumcraft gains new machines for handling essentia, vis and aura, and a Forge addon by Zeith built on HammerLib.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.7.10 – 1.12.2

What it does

Crystal Crusher, Essentia Combier, Aura Disperser, Aura Charger, Crystal Bore, Entity Summoner and Brass Warded Jar are the machines the addon introduces. The combier mixes two liquid essentia into a compound aspect, the crusher yields vis salt, and the disperser applies salt effects to nearby creatures. Aura Charger draws Auram to top up nearby aura, and Crystal Bore clears a row of crystal ore ahead of it while keeping one cluster intact. The summoner spawns entities from an entity cell template that uses some vis, and the warded jar holds 275 vis. Thaumcraft VI and HammerLib must both be installed, since HammerLib is required by the addon.

The addon is for Forge only and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files exist for 1.7.10, 1.8, 1.8.9 and 1.12.2, with 12.7.9 for 1.12.2 as the latest Forge file, published 2024-06-03. The code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved, while the source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Essentia combining

The Essentia Combier mixes two liquid essentia into a compound aspect for later recipes.

  2. Vis salt and aura machines

The Crystal Crusher produces vis salt, and the Aura Disperser applies salt effects to nearby creatures.

  3. Crystal mining and summoning

Crystal Bore works through crystal ore directly in front of it and keeps a lone cluster standing, and Entity Summoner brings creatures out of a cell template.

  4. Aura charging and storage

The Aura Charger consumes Auram to refill local aura, and the Brass Warded Jar holds 275 vis.

  5. Colored lighting

An optional integration with Thaumcraft Colored Lux adds colored lighting to the new machines.
