Tarot Card Booster Packs
by jakeitsune
Tarot Card Booster Packs adds purchasable Arcana packs that hold Tarot Cards, and it needs TarotCards: Remastered to run.
What it does
Arcana packs come in three tiers. A regular pack costs 5 Emeralds and lets the player pick 1 of 3 cards, a Jumbo pack costs 7 Emeralds and offers 1 of 5, and a Mega pack costs 10 Emeralds and offers 2 of 5. Opened packs present their cards so the player can choose one, and the choice is made from the same cards the pack shows.
Packs can be obtained from the server host, from Wandering Trader trades, which occasionally offer two packs at a time, or by crafting. A Tarot Card already owned can be sold for 3 Emeralds in the 2x2 or 3x3 crafting GUI. Emeralds are locked until an item is crafted in the Twilight Forest's Uncrafting Table, which blocks an exploit where Emeralds could be taken from uncrafted items.
Right-clicking a pack replaces the stack with a standard paper booster pack wrapping, and packs of the three types are not meant to stack unless cheats or commands are used. The mod requires TarotCards: Remastered, the add-on that supplies the cards themselves. Client and server: the server and every player need the mod.
Key features
Three pack tiers
Regular, Jumbo and Mega Arcana packs offer different numbers of cards to choose from at different Emerald prices.
Soul Card chance
As in Balatro's Tarot Card booster packs, a pack can contain a Soul Card, with a 0.3% chance of appearing.
Showman gamerule
The tarotShowman gamerule makes an Arcana pack act like the Showman Joker in Balatro, so duplicate Tarot Cards can appear more than once in a single opened pack.
Sell duplicate cards
Tarot Cards already owned can be sold for 3 Emeralds in a 2x2 or 3x3 crafting GUI.
