Sword Variants adds a set of new swords, ranged weapons and projectiles for Forge on Minecraft 1.20.1.
What it does
The mod adds new weapons to the game because the vanilla selection felt limited to its author. Its additions fall into three groups: a range of extra swords, ranged weapons that fire projectiles, and the projectiles themselves. Each group extends the combat options players have without replacing any vanilla item.
Both the server and every player on it need the mod, since the environment is client and server. Installing Just Enough Items (JEI) is optional, and it lets players look up the new items in its recipe and item browser. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1 only, with 1.0.2 as the latest build from 2024-03-31. The first release came out on 2024-01-14, and the code is licensed as All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

This mod's purpose is to add new weapons to Minecraft because I felt that there weren't enough. It adds swords and ranged weapons. There will be more weapons in future updates as well. List of what could be added: - More Swords - Ores - More ranged weapons - New projectiles And more as I think.
