Sweety's Archaeology

by Sweetygamer2

Sweety's Archaeology extends vanilla digsites with new structures, brushable blocks, relics and a set of tools and items for Forge and NeoForge.

What it does

Sweety's Archaeology expands the archaeology system with new digsites and relics. Brushing archaeology blocks grants experience points, and some resources drop in larger quantities, especially the common ones. Mineshafts can sometimes provide maps that point toward a nearby Ruined Mineshaft or a structure from another mod, and cartographer houses and wandering traders can hold the same maps in their chests.

The mod is built for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. The server and every player need the mod installed. Installation needs no other mod listed in the catalog. The code is closed: the license is All rights reserved, and the author publishes an issue tracker for reports.

Key features

  1. New digsite structures

Additional archaeology structures appear in the world, with their own loot and relics to find while brushing.

  2. Relics and decorative items

Tuff podiums display found items, silex tools and chainmail-style relics add variety, and a fossilised egg can be thrown to inflict nausea.

  3. Repair and combat items

A golden cube repairs equipped armor and held tools from the hotbar, though it does not repair shields. A spider amulet summons temporary golden spider minions.

  4. Movement and survival items

A climbing axe eases vertical movement, a broken clock delays death long enough to save items from lava, and ancient berries grant immunity to poison.
