Sweety's Garden

by Sweetygamer2

Sweety's Garden brings sixteen small new plants to the Overworld, placed in a range of biomes so that flowers and shrubs appear more often in a world.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.8

What it does

The new plants grow in existing Overworld biomes such as snow slopes, jungle edges, stony peaks, eroded badlands, groves, taiga and birch or flower forests. The mod leaves out common flowers like Rafflesia, Clover and Cattails and instead focuses on plants that are less common, so a sighting of one stands out, while Anemone stays a frequent find.

Several of the plants are small flowers that can be used to craft dyes, like the Wildflowers-type plants, and the new plants do not show up in Wandering Trader trades or duplicate when bonemealed. A config file lets server owners turn off generation for any of them, which helps when the mod is added to a modpack that already has its own flower placement.

Sweety's Garden is an all rights reserved mod, not open source. It is published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.5, 1.21.6, 1.21.7 and 1.21.8 across the 1.20.1 – 1.21.8 range.

Key features

  1. Sixteen new plants

The mod adds sixteen plants, including Bloody Dogwood, Busy Lizzie and Cyan Poppy, placed around the Overworld.

  2. Biome placement

Each plant has its own set of biomes, from snowy taiga and windswept hills to jungle and badlands.

  3. Dye-ready flowers

Several plants are small flowers that can be used as dye ingredients, like the Wildflowers-type ones.

  4. Generation config

A config file lets a server disable generation for any plant the player does not want.

  5. Trade and bonemeal rules

The new plants are excluded from Wandering Trader trades and do not duplicate when bonemealed.

What the author says

Sweety's Garden is a small mod, adding 16 new plants found all around the world, providing a bit of extra variety and life to a lot of overworld biomes. This mod also tries to highlight less common flowers (avoiding Rafflesias, Clover or Cattails). Some flowers will be relatively rare, to act as a nice uncommon…
