Starshadow Splash

by Starshadow

Minecraft's startup screen gets a live boot log from Starshadow Splash, which lists each step as the game loads.

FabricClient-side onlyMozilla Public License 2.0Open source1.20.1 – 1.20.6

What it does

Players who want to follow startup can use Starshadow Splash to watch a scrolling boot log as mods initialize. The log can show timestamps, initialization times, memory usage and the number of loaded mods, and it can be left at its default detail level or changed in the settings.

The mod only changes the client's startup screen, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. It is a Fabric mod for game versions 1.20.1 – 1.20.6, released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and its source code is public.

Key features

  1. Scrolling boot log

A detailed log scrolls on the splash screen and prints a line for each mod as it initializes.

  2. Summary view

A static summary card lists the mod count and basic system information instead of the full log.

  3. Vanilla splash option

The standard Mojang logo splash can be kept, in which case Starshadow Splash stops rendering over it.

  4. Adaptive timing

The adaptive setting adjusts the scrolling speed so the log finishes as loading completes.

  5. Skip on key press

Pressing a key or clicking skips the splash and goes straight to the title screen.
