Super Sound Muffler: Legacy is a Forge backport of the 1.7.10 sound-blocking mod, adding a noteblock muffler and a worn pocket muffler that silence chosen sounds.
What it does
The mod ports Super Sound Muffler and EdgarAllen's Super Sound Muffler to Minecraft 1.7.10 on Forge. A muffler is built by surrounding a noteblock with four wool blocks, and it absorbs sounds in the area. Right-clicking the placed muffler opens an edit list that works as a whitelist or blacklist of sounds to block.
The muffler can also be worn. It is crafted from three string pieces into a necklace shape, and a pocket muffler can be toggled on or off by shift-right-clicking. With the optional Baubles mod, the necklace works even when worn in the resting inventory. A configuration option can silence sounds everywhere.
Servers that run it need every player to install it too. It requires FalsePatternLib and UniMixins, and Baubles is only an optional quality-of-life feature. Only the 1.7.10 Forge build is published, at 1.2.3, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only; the mod is open source.
