Calamari adds a raw and a cooked food item, calamari, that squids, glow squids and several sea mobs drop, along with fishing, loot and trade sources.
What it does
Squids drop calamari when they die, and glow squids drop one or two raw pieces. Calamari also turns up now and then while fishing, and sea creatures such as guardians, elder guardians and dolphins can drop it. Cooking the raw meat gives a stronger food item than the raw version, with a higher saturation value.
Calamari is also added to loot tables: village fisher chests, buried treasure and trial chamber rewards can contain it, and the fisherman villager trades calamari. A player can give a dolphin a lead and receive treasure in return. The mod has only a few configuration options, including one that controls whether calamari is added to generated loot and to fishing and mob drops.
Calamari is a Fabric, Forge and NeoForge mod for client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source. It requires Architectury API, Cloth Config API and Fabric API, and builds cover 1.20.1 – 26.3 with 17 release versions. The latest Fabric and NeoForge files are 1.0.1 for 26.3, and the latest Forge file is 1.0.1 for 1.20.1.
