Sprout & Soil
Sprout & Soil is a farming and cooking expansion for Minecraft that adds new crops, ingredients and recipes, and it runs on both client and server.
What it does
Sprout & Soil adds a wide set of new crops and plants to the farming loop, among them tomatoes, berries, peppers, melons and exotic fruits. Players grow them from seeds, including a tomato plant with its own seeds, and harvest them as ingredients. The harvested crops feed new recipes, so each crop has a use in cooking as well as in the field.
The mod ties farming to a new set of crafting and cooking mechanics, which gives food a larger role in survival. Its feature list also covers farm animals with new livestock mechanics and seasonal crops that come with dynamic farming events. Development is ongoing, and the author lists more content as planned for later releases.
Sprout & Soil is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across the 1.16.5 – 26.2 range, with files for 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.5, 1.21.8 and 26.2. The server and every player need the mod installed. The code is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
